The Smith-Cotton High School Class of 2015 marked its graduation Saturday night with Commencement ceremonies in the Mathewson Exhibition Center on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.

The class of 324 graduates was led by valedictorian Abby Knight; salutatorian was Olivia Funk. In her address, Knight urged her classmates to pursue their dreams "with fierce determination because we can make a change, make a difference, and make a brighter future."

Graduate Isaac Rae picked up his second diploma of the weekend, having walked in the State Fair Community College commencement on Friday night to receive his associate’s degree.

The ceremony was scheduled to be the first outdoor graduation at Tiger Stadium in the Jennie Jaynes Activities Complex, but thunderstorms forced the move indoors at the Mathewson center.
