Smithton Man Loses Control of Ford on Route W

A vehicle was totaled on Monday when it slid off a snow-covered roadway in Pettis County.

The MSHP said the accident happened at 10:45 a.m. as a northbound 2015 Ford, driven by 58-year-old Jeffrey E. Gary of Smithton, slid off the right side of the road, struck a MoDOT sign, then a tree on Route W, one tenth of a mile north of Route DD.

Gary suffered minor injuries and sought his own treatment, according to the report.

The Ford was totaled and left at the scene.
