The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri held its annual Putting “Fore” The Kids golf tournament Monday, raising nearly $14,000 for Club operations.
The Katy Trail Community Health Center is a great place that helps a lot of people here in our area. They offer health care to those of us who may be less fortunate and can't afford big doctor bills, and with health costs these days, I think all of us can empathize with that. Well, the KTCH has a great program called the Partners on a Path For Good Health.
Nineteen teams spent a day on the links for a good cause Saturday, with the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri’s Putting “Fore” the Kids Golf Tournament.
Held at Triple Creek Golf Course in Cole Camp, the event raised more than $10,500, which will be used for general operational expenses.

As you probably know by now, the Boys and Girls Club is pretty heavily involved in what's going on here in Sedalia. They had a huge summer with all sorts of great projects, and the upcoming school year looks just as exciting!
The 13th Annual DARE Golf Tournament took place at Elm Hills Golf Course in Sedalia on Tuesday, July 9. Thirteen teams braved the high temperatures to help ensure that kids in school would get the text books and supplies that are related to the DARE program in Sedalia schools. DARE Coordinator Officer Brad Beard said that over $1800 was raised thus far, with more donations expected to come in.
