Friends and supporters of State Fair Community College Athletics will have the opportunity to participate in the seventh annual SFCC golf tournament and auction on July 23 that benefits athletic scholarships.

A live auction will start 45 minutes after the 2 p.m. round finishes for anyone who wants to support student-athlete scholarships.
“The auction last year was a great success, and we hope to have many items that will appeal to everyone in attendance,” said Darren Pannier, athletic director. “The coaches are collecting items for the auction, and the proceeds from their items will go into their sport’s scholarship fund.”
Proceeds also can fund general athletic scholarships or can be designated for a specific scholarship such as the Mike Bryson Memorial Scholarship (men and women’s soccer), the Bob Oehrke Memorial Scholarship (women’s basketball), the Kent Gwaltney Memorial Scholarship (men’s basketball), the Ross Dey Memorial Scholarship (baseball), and the Mandy Thomas Memorial Scholarship (softball).
