The results for Pettis County are in and turnout was pretty impressive for a primary, with 29.66% turnout for the election as of 8:30 pm on Tuesday, August 5th. There could be more ballots coming in with the official certification not scheduled until Friday, due to military ballots awaiting return, according to County Clerk Nick La Strada...

The results are in from Johnson County. There were several big issues to vote on, including the Warrensburg levy and bond issues and the Knob Noster and Warrensburg School Boards.

The second annual Go Big Or Go Home Race, a fundraising event for the Blaine Whitworth Fund, was held on Saturday, April 5. The fund was set up in memory of Blaine Whitworth, a Warrensburg business owner who was gunned down in his driveway, in the Fall of '12. Well, I think all of us are feeling a little bittersweet about the end of the Missouri State Fair. Sure, we probably didn't want to be on the national news for strange reasons, and sure, we probably will enjoy less traffic around town, but with all the great stuff going on there, you know you kind of miss it, too.  So I asked you guys what you thought was your favorite part of the fair this year. 

Results from the City of Sedalia's customer service survey have been tabulated. The most popular city service is trash pick-up. The report also points out that residents enjoy living in Sedalia. On the other hand, the survey also reveals that a few of the services are in need of additional resources.

Pettis County voters went to the polls and had higher than expected turnout. Pettis County Clerk Nick LaStrada said he was expecting 6-8% turnout, and 10.34% went to the polls.

Pettis County along with the rest of Missouri held a primary election on August 7 to elect candidates for the November General Election. In spite of the fact that there were a lot of uncontested races, the election exceeded expectations according to the Pettis County Clerk Nick LaStrada, who said the voter turnout was 21% for Pettis County.
