Two 18-wheelers Collide in Saline County

A collision between two 18-wheelers injured both drivers Monday afternoon in Saline County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that both vehicles were traveling north on US 65 at 1:30 p.m., when a 2013 Kenworth, driven by 45-year-old James W. Patton of Tipton, slowed to turn east on 165th Road, and was struck from behind by a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by 53-year-old Michael T. Adkisson of Auxvasse.

Both drivers suffered moderate injuries, and both were transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by EMS for treatment.

The Kenworth had moderate damage, while the Freightliner had extensive damage.
