Two Holden Women Injured in Chain-reaction Crash
Two Holden women were injured in a four-vehicle chain reaction crash that occurred Thursday morning in Jackson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that westbound Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by 42-year-old Annie M. Timmons of Lee's Summit, was on 470, east of View High Drive around 8 a.m., when she struck the rear of a westbound Honda CRV, causing the CRV to strike the rear of a westbound Jeep Cherokee, and that Cherokee struck the rear of a westbound Chevy Colorado.
Injured were two women in the CRV. 48-year-old Melissa E. Kesterson-Cole, and 69-year-old Lois E. Copeland, both from Holden, suffered minor injuries. Lee's Summit Fire transported Kesterson-Cole to St. Luke's East and Copeland to Centerpoint Hospital.
The Chevy Colorado had no damage. The Jeep Cherokee had moderate damage. The Jeep Grand Cherokee had extensive damage and the CRV was totaled and towed from the scene.
