Two Injured at US 65 and Grand

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Monday evening in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2001 Oldsmobile, driven by 18-year-old Terrell L. Peck of Sedalia, failed to yield to an eastbound 2019 Chevrolet, driven by 50-year-old Lori L. Leicher of Hughesville, at US 65 and Grand at 6:25 p.m.

Leicher suffered serious injuries and was transported to University Hospital by PCAD. Peck's passenger, 17-year-old Madisyn R. Archamvault of Sedalia, suffered moderate injuries, and was transported by private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Peck and Archamvault were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, while Leicher was not, according to the report.

The Oldmobile had moderate damage, while the Chevy was totaled.

Pettis County Fire and deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
