Two people were injured in a rollover wreck that occurred Thursday in Johnson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2000 Dodge Durango was westbound in the left lane of US 50 east of State Street (at Knob Noster) at 2 p.m., when another westbound vehicle came into the left lane from the right. The driver of the Durango, 38-year-old Jesse L. Hopper of Ionia, attempted to avoid a collision and ran off the right side of the road and overturned. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle returned to the roadway and ran off the left side.

Hopper suffered serious injuries and was transported to Research Medical Center by Life Flight Eagle.

His passenger, 38-year-old Jesse E. Delaney of Kansas City, suffered minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center.
