A two-vehicle accident injured two people on Tuesday evening in Johnson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 58-year-old Nelda B. Brillhart of Kingsville was the driver of a westbound 2017 Ford on US 50, attempting to turn south on Route W at 5:30 p.m., when she pulled into the path of an eastbound 2014 Honda, driven by 33-year-old Jessica K. Jones of Whiteman Air Force Base.

The Ford was struck on the passenger side by the Honda. The Ford then traveled off the south side of the roadway.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries. Brillhart refused medical treatment, while Jones was taken by JCAD to Western Missouri Medical Center. Both were wearing a safety device, acccording to the report.

The Ford was totaled, while the Honda had extensive damage.

Johnson County deputies assisted the Patrolmen at the scene.
