Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday afternoon just before 2 p.m. north of Sedalia.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound 2016 Dodge Caravan driven by 64-year-old Billie J. Parman of Excelsior Springs was on Highway 65 and failed to stop for a traffic signal at Rebar Road at 1:52 p.m., striking a southbound 2017 Kia Niiro, driven by 70-year-old Cynthia R. Waller of Warsaw. The Kia then struck a southbound 2019 Chevy Colorado driven by 70-year-old Leonard H. Schupp of Lawrence, Kan.

Parman suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Waller suffered serious injuries and transported to University of Missouri Hospital by PCAD.

Both were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Colorado had moderate damage, the Dodge had extensive damage and the Kia was totaled.

Pettis County deputies, Pettis County Fire and Sedalia Police assisted the Patrol at the scene.
