Two Leeton Teens Injured in Pettis County Rollover

Two Leeton teens were injured in one-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday morning in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2008 Kia Spectra, driven by a 17-year-old girl from Leeton, was on Route Y, west of Willow Drive around 8:40 a.m., when the vehicle crossed the center line, causing the driver to overcorrect. The Kia then traveled off right side of the roadway and overturned.

The driver and her passenger, a 18-year-old boy from Leeton, suffered moderate injuries.

The girl was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center, while the boy was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

The Kia was totaled and towed by Don's Truck Towing.

Pettis County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
