Two Sedalia men were injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Monday morning in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2019 Ford F-250, driven by 34-year-old Jeffrey C. Rhoads of Sedalia, was at Highway 127 and Route Y around 11:30 a.m., when Rhoads lost control and the truck ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch.

Upon impact, the trailer he was pulling separated from the Ford and struck the back and top of the truck.

Rhoads suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center, while his passenger, 51-year-old William A. Johnson of Sedalia, suffered serious injuries and was transported by PCAD to Research Medical Center.

The Ford was totaled and towed from the scene by Don’s Towing.

Pettis County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
