Two Sedalians Injured in 50 at 127 Crash

Two Sedalians were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Friday night at La Monte.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound 2014 Hyundai Elantra driven by 23-year-old Le'Messia M. Barbour of Sedalia, attempted to cross US 50 at Route 127 around 10 p.m. and was struck by a westbound 2008 GMC Sierra, driven by 58-year-old Thomas F. Pittman of Bunceton.

Barbour and her 15-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries, and both were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment. Both were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Sierra had moderate damage, while the Hyundai was totaled. Both were towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.
