Two Women Ejected in Rollover Accident in Pettis County

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident that occurred in western Pettis County Wednesday afternoon.

According to the MSHP, 40-year-old Twila D. Christopher of Windsor was the driver of a westbound 2001 Suzuki on Route Y,  just east of Morton Road, at 3 p.m., when the vehicle left the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned. Both the driver and her occupant, 19-year-old Sierra D. Christopher of Excelsior Springs, were ejected.

Both suffered serious injuries and were transported by PCAD to Research Medical Center. Neither were wearing a safety device, according to the report.

The Suzuki was totaled and towed from the scene.

Pettis County deputies and Pettis County Fire assisted the Patrol at the scene.
