Two Women Injured in Morgan County Collision
Two women were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday afternoon in Morgan County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2017 Ford Focus, driven by 63-year-old Edith M. Capps of Stover, was stopped , waiting to make a left turn on Highway 52, 36 feet east of Route T (west of Versailles) at 3:49 p.m., when she was struck in the rear by a westbound 2015 Chevy Traverse, driven by 65-year-old Verna M. Peaster of Cole Camp.
Peaster suffered minor injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health center by private vehicle, while Capps suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by Mid-Mo EMS. Both drivers were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.
The Traverse had moderate damage, while the Focus was totaled.
