MoDOT Kansas City will have various lanes and ramps closed this week for guard rail installation, rumble strip work, and pavement marking work this week beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 27. All work is weather permitting.

The right lane of southbound I-435 will be closed from 23rd St. to U.S. 40 Highway continuously beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30.
The right lane of westbound I-70 at the Blue Ridge Cutoff on ramp will be closed for guardrail installation on both Tuesday, Oct. 27, and Wednesday, Oct. 28. From 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.

The left lane of eastbound I-70 will be closed from Manchester Trafficway to I-435 for guardrail installation on Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The eastbound I-70 on and off ramps at Manchester Trafficway will be closed for guardrail installation and island construction on both Tuesday, Oct. 27, and Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.

Various lanes of both northbound and southbound I-435 from Raytown Rd. to 23rd St. will be closed for rumble strip placement OVERNIGHT on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

Various lanes of both eastbound and westbound I-70 from Blue Ridge Cutoff to Manchester Trafficway will be closed for rumble strip placement OVERNIGHT on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

Various lanes of both northbound and southbound I-435 from Raytown Rd. to 23rd St. will be closed for pavement marking work beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 28, through Saturday, Oct. 31, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Various lanes of both eastbound and westbound I-70 from Blue Ridge Cutoff to Manchester Trafficway will be closed for pavement marking work beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 28, through Saturday, Oct. 31, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

The eastbound I-70 on ramp from Manchester Trafficway and the right lane of eastbound I-70 at the Manchester Trafficway on ramp will be closed for guardrail installation on Friday, Oct. 30, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Motorists should expect various lane closures overnight in the area. There may be delays in the area. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
