Warrensburg Woman Injured After Driver Tries to Avoid Deer
A Warrensburg woman was moderately injured in a Miller County wreck that occurred Thursday night.
The MSHP reports that a 2007 Saturn Aura was traveling eastbound on Missouri 52, one mile east of McGuire Lane at 9:02 p.m., when the driver, 26-year-old Joseph E. Lavin of Warrensburg, attempted to avoid a deer in the roadway and traveled off the right side and struck the ground and a fence.
His passenger, 23-year-old Kalli R. Lavin, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Miller County Ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. She was not wearing a safety device, according to the report.
The Saturn was totaled.
The Patrol was assisted at the scene by Miller County deputies and the Moreau Fire Department.
