Warsaw Man Injured in Benton County Accident

A Warsaw man suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Benton County Sunday.

The MSHP reported that 53-year-old Terry L. Morehead was the driver of a westbound 1998 Dodge on Route V at Route M at 5:55 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a road sign, then a tree.

Morehead was transported by air ambulance to University of Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

The Dodge was totaled.

Benton County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.

Morehead was later arrested by the Patrol at 7:18 p.m. and charged with felony DWI, driving while revoked, no proof of insurance and failure to display valid license plates.
