Warsaw Woman Injured in Benton County Crash

Two Warsaw residents were involved in a two-vehicle crash in Benton County on Tuesday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2006 Chevrolet, driven by 31-year-old Sam J. Wingender of Warsaw, was stopped on Route MM, north of Lane of Champions, to make a left turn, when a northbound 2004 Chevrolet, driven by 28-year-old Joanna M. Anderson of Warsaw, overtook and struck Wingender's car.

Anderson suffered minor injuries, and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts when the crash occurred.

Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
