Fatal Accident Reported In Johnson County Early Monday Morning

At 3:30 a.m. on Monday (Jan. 13), the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a fatal accident on Southeast 651 Road north of 748 Road in Johnson County.

According to the accident report, the accident occurred as the 1996 Dodge driven by 31-year-old Michael Fagen of Warrensburg traveled off the right side of the a bridge. The vehicle then traveled into a creek, struck an embankment and overturned.

A passenger in the vehicle, 28-year-old Matthew Headley of Warrensburg, was not wearing a seatbelt, and suffered fatal injuries. Headly was taken to Sweeney Phillips Funeral Home by the Johnson County Coroner C.L. Holdren.
