Pettis County and Johnson County Municipal Election Results Are In

Pettis County voters went to the polls and had higher than expected turnout. Pettis County Clerk Nick LaStrada said he was expecting 6-8% turnout, and 10.34% went to the polls.

Primary Election Results for Missouri/Pettis County

Pettis County along with the rest of Missouri held a primary election on August 7 to elect candidates for the November General Election. In spite of the fact that there were a lot of uncontested races, the election exceeded expectations according to the Pettis County Clerk Nick LaStrada, who said the voter turnout was 21% for Pettis County.

Do Olympic Spoilers Annoy You? [POLL]

Michael Phelps came in 4th in the 400m individual medley on Saturday.  NBC made the decision to broadcast the race in prime time instead of live.  Twitter absolutely exploded.  People were angry at other news outlets for posting the results of the race and other spoilers before they had the chance to see them.  Some gave NBC some flack for not airing the race live.   For the first time, Olympians are allowed to use social media as well, but are not allowed to reveal any results.

The voters in Pettis County had the opportunity to vote for the initial Pettis County Ambulance District Board in a special election that was held Tuesday.   The results are now final.
