The Sacred Heart Lady Gremlins erased a 12-3 first-quarter deficit to secure a 31-28 victory over the Otterville Eagles Wednesday at the Kaysinger Tournament.

Paisley Carl led the way with 12 points, followed by Lauren Diller with 6, Bailey Vogel and Ebrinn Cahill had 4, Olivia Dillon had 3, and Ellie Coruna rounded out the scoring with 2.

The next action for the Lady Grems (1-16) is Friday at 4:30 vs La Monte Lady Vikings (4-13) at the State Fair Community College Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Building.


 

In Junior High basketball action, the SH Lady Gremlins again took on St. Peter’s Tuesday night with a 17-16 outcome.

In a back-and-forth game, the Lady Grem’s got a bucket from Ava Judd with 11 seconds left, that proved to be the difference maker. Maggie Van Leer had 6 and Ava Judd had 4.

"It was not the prettiest game the ladies have played all year, but they competed to the very end and squeaked out a victory. I'm proud of their effort with 6-4 on the season," the coach said.

In the B game (2Q) the Lady Gremlins pulled out another close game 12-9. Sophie Hesse led the Gremlins with 5 points
