“Despite a 0-5 finish against the Smithton Lady Tigers, the Sacred Heart Girls' Soccer Team played well and had more opportunities to play and score near the opponent's net than prior games this season,” according to Coach Patti Hegger.

With high temps and short on substitutes, the Lady Grems kept fighting and playing hard at home on May 12.

The Gremlin's Allie Finney came up big on defense, while Mariah Van Lear was able to switch fields to get the ball in the offensive third of the field several times for the Gremlins.

“With several returning starters, the Gremlins will be stronger and better next season,” Hegger added.

Sacred Heart ended their season 0-5.

Smithton ended their season 7-7.
