50-year-old Sedalia man in jail for 2nd degree domestic assault

At 7:29 Saturday morning Sedalia police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1400 block of East 3rd. Upon arrival the officers found the call was related to a call the department received on Friday when a suspect hit a female victim, and pushed a cigarette against her face. The suspect had left the Area, but had returned Saturday morning. The suspect 50-year-old David W. Boggs was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending the filing of 2nd degree domestic assault charges.

Sedalia Police receive a call from Arkansas concerning child abuse

On Sunday the Sedalia Police Department received a call from a woman in Arkansas concerning child abuse. According to the caller her son, who was with her at the time of the call for a visitation, but lives with his father will not be returned due to abuse in Sedalia. The woman said Arkansas Child Services told her to keep the child until they see him This Monday the 1st of December. There was no other information in the police report.

Two Sedalia man arrested for stealing at Walmart Saturday afternoon

The Sedalia Police reported two Sedalia men were arrested on Saturday at the Walmart Store on charges of shoplifting. Officers arrested 24-year-old Bryant A. Creeley and David Ray Shull of Sedalia who were reportedly attempting to return items that had been stolen earlier. Both men were arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail where they were booked and released with court dates.

42-year-old Sedalia woman arrested during a traffic stop

Around 1:50 Sunday morning Sedalia Police observed two vehicles travelling in excess of 80-miles per hour at Broadway and Grand. The officer was able to stop one of the vehicle that had attempted to elude capture. The police report states 42-year-old Michele Lynn Johnson of Sedalia was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a $533.50 bond for failure to obey resisting arrest.

California woman reports thefts from her Storage Unit in Sedalia

Just before 5pm Saturday evening the Sedalia Police received a call from a woman in the State of California. According to the woman the owner of the storage company at 1720 West Main had informed her that her storage unit had been burglarized. The police report states 7 power tools were taken from the unit. There are no suspects at news time.

Thieves target a house on South Ohio Saturday morning

At 10:25 Saturday morning a victim in the 1300 block of South Ohio reported his house had been entered, and several items were stolen. According to the victim the thief or thieves got away with his flat screen TV, and a 22 caliber Smith and Wesson Revolver. There was no information on a possible suspect in the police report.

Vandals break windows in a vehicle in the 1600 block of South Barrett

At noon on Thursday a male victim reported that sometime overnight someone broke windows out of his truck in the 1600 block of South Barrett. Estimated damage to the vehicle was placed at around $1000. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

Suspect is known in a tire puncturing case

Sunday evening a female victim in the in the area of 18th and Missouri reported a suspect known to her had punctured a tire on her vehicle. The police report states the known suspect is already wanted on several warrants.
