27-year-old homeless female arrested on multiple charges

At 7:20 Thursday night Sedalia Police made contact with 27-year-old Crystle J.A. Wilson a homeless person while she was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. She was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where a search revealed she was in possession of 2 different controlled substances. The police report states Wilson attempted to eat the substances. She was placed on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending charges of driving while suspended and multiple drug related charges.

18-year-old arrested for shoplifting at Walmart

Around 8:45 last Saturday night Sedalia Police arrested 18-year-old Hakeem Stephon Dickson of Sedalia for shoplifting at the Walmart store. He was taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond.

Sedalia Police arrest a 24-year-old woman for assault Wednesday evening

At 6:35 Wednesday evening Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 600 block of East 11th on a disturbance. Upon arrival officers met with two female subjects involved in the disturbance. Following an investigation officers issued a summons and a court date to 24-year-old Shemikka M. Rice for assault on the other woman.

Parent leaves child with family member and has not returned

Just after noon on Wednesday Sedalia police were called to a home in the 300 block of South Lamine on a report of a parent leaving a child with a family member and not returning. According to the female complainant the parent left a minimum of supplies, that are running out, and she needs help. The police report does not state the disposition of this case.

Local business reports a woman has not returned a vehicle

On Wednesday McCarthy Toyota reported a woman who was supposed to purchase a vehicle, but whose loan did not go through has not returned the vehicle.

Former roommate steals woman’s television

A female victim contacted the Sedalia Police on Wednesday on a stolen television set. According to the victim the suspect had once lived with her for a couple of months, and now she believes they returned and stole her 42” Television valued at around $750. There was no other information in the police report.

Bush in front of a man’s home set on fire Thursday night

According to Sedalia Police report, on Thursday night a victim in the 2600 block of Stephenson Blvd. heard a loud noise like fireworks, and when he checked he found a bush on fire at the front of his house. There had been no arrest according to the report.
