Afternoon Sedalia Police Crime Reports For January 6, 2015
19-year-old Sedalia man in jail for assault
At 2:37 this (Tuesday) morning Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 1800 block of East Broadway on a domestic disturbance involving a knife. Upon arrival officers located the suspect, 19-year-old Casey J. Kitch hiding in the basement. Kitch admitted he had a knife, and admitted he had intimidated his girlfriend with it. Kitch was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges of domestic assault 2nd degree, and unlawful use of a weapon.
Traffic stop Monday night results in arrest for a Sedalia man
Around 6:30 Monday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle in the area of 7th and Washington for no license plate light. A subsequent check on the driver 42-year-old Daniel S Davis of Sedalia he was found to be suspended. Davis was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a $533.50 bond.
41-year-old revoked driver arrested Monday night on Sedalia’s East side
Just after 7pm Monday night Sedalia Police observed a vehicle with unreadable license plates. The police report states the vehicle was stopped at 9th and Washington. A check on the driver 41-year-old David Joe Bennett of Sedalia revealed he was revoked. Bennett was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending state charges.
Theft complaint filed by a man in the 1600 block of south Carr this (Tuesday) morning
At 10:39 this (Tuesday) morning Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 1600 block of South Carr. According to the victim sometime over the past week someone broke the lock of his shed, and stole a Poulan Chain Saw, and a nail gun. There was no information on possible suspects at news time.
