Disturbance call results in arrest for a 21-year-old Sedalia man

At 9:47am Saturday morning Sedalia police were dispatched to a disturbance in the 2100 block of South Engineer. The police report states prior to their arrival the y were informed by dispatch one of the subjects involved in the disturbance had a felony probation violation warrant. Upon arrival officers arrested 21-year-old Jason M. Heddrich of Sedalia and transported him to the Pettis County Jail pending a $10,000 bond.

26-year-old Sedalia woman arrested for domestic assault Friday evening

Just before 6pm Friday evening Sedalia Police investigated a disturbance in the 200 block of  North Washington involving a male and a female. Upon arrival the female subject was found to have assaulted the male subject causing him injury. Arrested at the scene was 26-year-old Jennifer Mae Bone of Sedalia. At the time of the police report she was on 24-hour hold pending 3rd degree domestic assault charges.

Hispanic male arrested Sunday afternoon on possession charges

Around 3:15pm Sunday afternoon Sedalia police observed a Hispanic Male come from behind a building in the 2200 block of West Main they knew was closed. Upon contact with man he gave the officer consent to search his person, which resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. The suspect identified as Jorge L. Esquivel of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending formal drug related charges. The police report states he was also found to have a municipal warrant with an $88.50 bond.

Domestic assault charges sought on a 35-year-old Sedalia man Friday

At 5:54 Friday morning Sedalia Police investigated a disturbance at an apar6tment in the 200 block of West 10th. Upon arrival a female subject reported the male suspect had grabbed her and forced her head against a door. Following an investigation 35-year-old Travis Eugene Ballew of the residence was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending 3rd degree assault charges.

27-year-old Sedalia man arrested for stealing at Walmart Friday

Around 2:35 pm Friday afternoon Sedalia Police arrested 27-year-old Brennah D. Bower of Sedalia at the Walmart Store. According to store personnel Bower left the store without paying for items she had picked up in the store. At the time of the police report she was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County jail pending state charges.

Malta Bend man arrested on a warrant Friday afternoon

At 4:22 Friday afternoon Sedalia Police arrested 39-year-old Gary L. Barnett Jr. of Malta Bend on an active warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $1500 bond.

Traffic stop nets a Sedalia man and woman on drug related charges

Just before 11pm Friday night Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Engineer and Saline for a defective headlight. A subsequent check on the driver 28-year-old Brandon L. Ulmer of Sedalia revealed he was suspended. During a search of Ulmer he was found to have a marijuana grinder in his pocket. At the time of the police report Ulmer was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending charges of driving while suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no proof of insurance. In a possibly related incident officers made contact with 40-year-old Billie J. Kasi of Sedalia during a traffic stop at 11pm Friday night at Engineer and Saline. Kasi was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, and other dangerous non-narcotic drugs. She was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail where she was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Theft cases under investigation by the Sedalia Police Department

Thursday morning a female victim reported a Garmin GPS Unit, and a 6 Disc CD Changer were stolen from her vehicle in the 600 block of East 9th sometime overnight. Value of the stolen items was placed at approximately $600.

On Friday a victim in the 400 block of east 12th reported a 2005 Car hauler valued at $2500 was stolen from his driveway.

Saturday afternoon a victim in the 600 block of East 17th reported two trolling motor batteries valued at $160 were stolen from his garage.

Saturday morning A victim in the 400 block of West Henry reported her windshield was broken by a big rock.
