Smithton man arrested early this Monday morning for driving while intoxicated

Around 24 minutes after mid-night this Monday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Marshall Avenue with a driver they determined was intoxicated. Arrested at the scene was 43-year-old Troy Alvin Bishop of Smithton. Bishop was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond.

21-year-old Sedalia man arrested following a vehicle accident Sunday

At 11:35 Saturday night Sedalia Police responded to a vehicle accident in the 1100 block of west 16th. Upon arrival the officers met with the driver who refused treatment at the scene. The driver 21-year-old Marcos Juan Quetzecua of Sedalia was determined to be intoxicated. The police report also states he was charged with knowingly driving another person’s vehicle without insurance. The police report states Quetzecua was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail where he was booked and released with a court date.

Lamont woman arrested Sunday for stealing at Walmart

Around 1:30 Sunday afternoon Sedalia Police arrested 46-year-old Christina Lea Warnke of Lamont for stealing from the Walmart Store. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

Vehicle stop Sunday morning nets a man driving while revoked

At 9:17 Sunday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle in the area of 18th and Harrison with a driver known to be revoked. 30-year-old Kimberly R. Porter of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.

Warrant check Sunday morning results in arrest for a Sedalia man

Sunday morning Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a residence in the 1200 block of east 19th. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect Scotty R. Rice of the residence. Following confirmation of the warrant for failure to appear Rice was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $150 cash only bond.

Theft Complaints filed with the Sedalia Police

At 6:12 Sunday evening a man in the 800 block of east 4th reported someone had taken out two credit cards using his name, and has ran them up to nearly $20,000. The suspect has not been located at news time.

Just before 3am Sunday morning a man in the 500 block of North Grand reported thieves took numerous items from his garage including vehicle parts and tools. The thefts are under investigation.

A Laptop Computer was reported stolen in the 1400 block of South Carr Sunday afternoon. The female victim told officers the thief is someone known to her.
Truman Inn at 3501 West Broadway reported a television valued at $210 was stolen from one of their rooms Sunday night.

Breaktime at 318 west Broadway reported a $33.97 gas drive off.
