Sedalia man attempts to hang himself Saturday according to a Sedalia Police report

Saturday afternoon Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of West 11th to investigate an attempted suicide. According to the police report the victim hung himself. Upon arrival the victim was given CPR and was then taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. There was no further information in the incident at news time.

Greenridge woman faces multiple charges following her arrest Saturday

At 1:22 Saturday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to assist the Division of Family Services at a residence in the 300 block of West 4th. Upon arrival the officers obtained permission to conduct a search of the residence, and found syringes and methamphetamine. The police report states there were two children of the household. Arrested at the scene was 24-year-old Pamela M. Campbell of Greenridge. At the time of the police report she was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending drug related charges and charges of endangering the welfare of a child 1st degree, and unlawful transaction with a child.

Sedalia man arrested for domestic assault and resisting arrest Sunday morning

Just after 1am Sunday morning Sedalia Police responded to a house in the 1000 block of West 3rd on a disturbance. Upon arrival a female victim told the officers the father of her children came to the house, and refused to leave. The woman also said the suspect attempted to strike her. According to the police report the suspect identified as 35-year-old Alonzo D. Kirkwood of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of 3rd degree domestic assault, and resisting arrest.

Disturbance call Sunday morning lands both parties in jail for domestic assault

Around 11:30 Sunday morning Sedalia Police investigated a domestic disturbance in the 1300 block of South Osage. Upon arrival officers met with a male and female who were the parties involved. Following an investigation the report states both parties had scratches on them as a result of the incident. The police report states both suspects identified as 22-year-old Tyler Ray Hice, and 22-year-old Chelsey Allison Dedrick of Sedalia were arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail where they were placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges of domestic assault 2nd degree.

Traffic stop lands a passenger in jail for failure to appear

Just after 8pm Friday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Missouri for crossing the centerline. A computer check on the occupants revealed one of them 48-year-old Elena G. Hickman of Sedalia had an active warrant out of Sedalia for failure to appear on a summons. Bond was set at $88.50 cash only.
