Higginsville man served a warrant in jail

According to a Sedalia Police report officers with the department located a suspect with an active warrant in the Pettis County Jail. The suspect 38-year-old Jesse D. Summers of Higginsville was placed back in detention according to the police report, with an $88.50 bond on the warrant for traffic related charges.

Cat bites its owner Saturday morning and gets quarantined

At 11:41 Saturday morning the Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Bothwell Hospital on a victim that was bitten by an animal. Upon contact with the victim she told officers the family cat had bitten her on the hand, and scratched her arm. The cat has been quarantined in the home.

Two cases of theft from automobiles reported to the police

Saturday morning Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 400 block of South Massachusetts. According to the complainant someone entered his unlocked vehicle, and stole $50 in cash from the glove box. There are no suspects.

At 1:30 Sunday afternoon Sedalia Police took a theft complaint in the 700 block of East Broadway. According to the complainant a suspect known to her had taken $50 from her vehicle, then left the area. That incident is under investigation.

Property damage to a vehicle reported in  the 1400 block of South Carr Sunday

Sunday morning a female victim in the 1400 block of South Carr reported the side mirror of her vehicle had the glass broken out earlier that morning. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.
