sexual assault is under investigation by the Sedalia Police

According to a Sedalia Police report around 7:30 Thursday night a possible sexual assault was reported to the Sedalia Police. The report states the police department is investigating an incident that reportedly took place in the area of Saline and Buckner Court.

Sedalia Police Patrol Car rear-ended on East Broadway Thursday evening

At 5pm Thursday evening a Sedalia Police Officer reported their patrol vehicle had just been rear-ended by a vehicle in the area of East Broadway and Brown Avenue. The officer also reported that the vehicle had went around the patrol car, and proceeded east on Broadway. A short time later an off duty Pettis County sheriff’s Deputy located the vehicle in the area of 38th and Marshall Avenue. The driver 18-year-old Kade Spencer Jones of Rural Sedalia was arrested at the scene, and transported to the Pettis County jail. At the time of the police report Jones was on 24-hour hold pending multiple charges, including following too close, resisting arrest, and leaving the scene of an accident.

34-year-old woman given a summons for interfering with a police officer

Around 9pm Thursday night Sedalia police issued a Sedalia Municipal Summons to 34-year-old Haydee Pintor of Sedalia for interfering with a police officer. The charge stems from an incident as officers were investigating a disturbance.

Male suspect sought for assaulting his girlfriend

The Sedalia Police responded to an assault complaint in the 400 block of East 7th, at 1am this (Friday) morning. Upon contact with the female victim she told the officers her boyfriend had struck her in the face multiple times. The police report states the victim showed no marks, and did not require medical attention. The suspect had not been located at the time of the police report.

Thefts and attempted thefts reported to the Sedalia Police

Just after 7pm Thursday night a female victim filed an attempted theft complaint with the Sedalia Police. According to the complainant she approached a suspect who was attempting to enter her vehicle while it was parked in the 1600 block 0of East Broadway. The victim said she startled the man and he threw a bar at her, then fled on foot. The suspect is described as a white male approximately 5foot 9 inches tall, wearing a black hoodie, and black pants. The suspect was not located.

Road Runner Auto Sales at 1615 East Broadway reported the theft of a vehicle from the sales lot at 8:40 this (Friday) morning. There was no information on a suspect at news time.

A female victim reported a $40 Comforter was stolen from a dryer at Elite Laundromat located at 3230 West 16th. There were no suspects.

At 8:16 Thursday night the Dollar General at 713 East Broadway reported a female suspect stole two-baby bottles, and a movie from the store. The items were valued at $12:45. There are no suspects.
