Sedalia man arrested for property damage on Monday

Just before 3pm Monday afternoon Sedalia Police were called to a residence in the 1300 block of Walker Circle on a property damage complaint. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect 28-year-old Derek S. Marquess of Sedalia. Marquess told the officers he had lost his temper while arguing with his mother, and swept items off of a cabinet onto the floor. At the time of the police report Marquess was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $533.50 bond.

Theft from a motor vehicle reported in the 400 block of East 19th Monday

At 7:24 Monday morning Sedalia Police investigated a theft complaint in the 400 block of East 19th. According to the victim someone entered his unlocked vehicle, and took a coin pouch containing coins, and other items. The victim stated the coins and items were valued collectively at $15.
