Sedalia man arrested on warrants during a disturbance investigation

Around 6am this (Thursday) morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to a disturbance in progress at a residence in the 1300 block of South Osage. According to the police report a suspect was banging on the rear door of the home. The suspect fled the area when officers arrived, and a short foot pursuit ensued. The suspect 30-year-old Blake Leister of Sedalia was caught and arrested, and transported to the Pettis County Jail. The police report states Leister was found to have a warrant out of Bates County with a $10,000 cash only bond, and a no-bond warrant out of Vernon County.

37-year-old woman arrested this (Thursday) morning on an active warrant

Just before 8am this (Thursday) morning Sedalia Police responded to the 1600 block of Clarendon Road on a warrant check. Upon arrival officers made contact with 37-year-old Tina Michael Haney of Sedalia who had a confirmed failure to appear warrant. At the time of the police report Haney was in the Pettis County Jail pending a bond of $2000 cash only, and $2500 cash or surety for a total of $4500.

53-year-old Sedalia man turns himself in on a failure to appear warrant

At 3:24 Wednesday afternoon 53-year-old Billy Dean Casto of Sedalia reportedly turned himself in at the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office for a failure to appear warrant. Bond on the warrant was $500 cash only.

Man walking in the middle of a street arrested on an active warrant

Around 7:15 this (Thursday) morning Sedalia Police made contact with a subject walking in the center of the street at 11th and Marvin. A check through dispatch revealed the man identified as 37-years-old James W. Kronk of Sedalia had a failure to appear warrant. Kronk was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending  a cash only bond of $141.50.

Thief steals 2-beers at Breaktime

At 9:48 this (Thursday morning the Break Time at 808 East Broadway reported the theft of 2 cans of beer. The store employee told officers the security camera recorded the incident where the man put the beers in his pocket and left without paying. The theft is being investigated.
