On Friday around 4 a.m., Sedalia Police observed a vehicle pull to the side of the roadway without signaling near 7th and Montgomery, and run up on the curb.

The officer made contact with the driver, who was still in the driver's seat.

Investigation revealed that 36-year-old Luis A. Polito Seba of Sedalia, was intoxicated. A computer check revealed he was also driving while suspended.

According to the report, Seba refused to exit the vehicle when requested to do so by police, resulting in the use of force.

Seba then refused to provide a breath sample, so a search warrant was obtained for a blood draw. The blood draw was conducted and the suspect was then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.

Charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended and resisting arrest were requested of the Pettis County Prosecutor.
