Area crime reports 7-17-18
Sedalia Police arrested 32-year-old Jacob Edwards Masters of Sedalia, for driving while revoked after a traffic stop on a maroon 2006 Ford F-150 at 804 Winchester around 11:30 a.m. Monday. Masters was taken to the Pettis County Jail. He now has an Aug. 22 court date.


 

On Monday just before 8 a.m., police were called to the 1500 block of E. 5th on a disturbance. According to a report, there was no disturbance. However, the caller wanted to pursue charges against 64-year-old Jimmie Joe Erfurth for violation of the city's noise ordinance on a routine basis through their repeated loud arguments. Sedalia Police issued a Municipal court summons to Erfurth for Aug. 8.


 

On Monday morning around 11:30 a.m., a man reported the theft of his wallet from a vehicle at Break Time, 808 E. Broadway. According to the report, the victim left his wallet in his unlocked vehicle and when he returned, it was gone. The wallet contained over $600. There are no suspects.


 

On Sunday at 1:48 a.m. in Benton County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 54-year-old Norman S. Bottcher of Sedalia . He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Lane Violation. Bottcher was taken to the Benton County Jail, where he was booked and released.
