The third annual Bible Appreciation Gathering is scheduled for Saturday, November 9 in Sedalia, and includes several program participants.

Speakers include, John McCutchen of New Hope Baptist Church in Sedalia; Sam Hargrave Jr., of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, in Wichita, KS; Joyce Foster, of Praire Grove Baptist Church in Tipton; Allen Christiansen, of Turkey Hill Ranch Bible Camp in Vienna; Omar Baeza, an overseas student in the Middle East and volunteer in Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana ministry in Sedalia; Cowboy Pastor Larry Marriott from Tipton; and Daniel Smolyuk, from the newly-formed Russian Baptist Church in Sedalia.

Recitations from the Bible will be presented in Russian, by members of the Daniel Smolyuk family; in English, by Laura Williams of Jefferson City Bible Chapel; in Telugu and Urdu, by P.C. Thomas, and in Malayalam, by Thankam Thomas, both of Sedalia.

Music is provided by singers from Primera Inglesia Bautista Hispana and from Word of Life Evangelical Ukrainian Church of Sedalia.

The event is open to the public and will take place at Golden Corral from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in Sedalia.

Golden Corral is located at 2004 W. Broadway.

Since seats and parking are not reserved, it was noted that attendees are encouraged to arrive early, pay their way to the food line, and be seated before 11:00 a.m. Additionally, it was noted this is not a fundraising event.

The event is sponsored by the Sedalia Bible Academy, in observance of the 78th National Bible Week, celebrated across the nation during Thanksgiving week.
