Catch Phrases We Hate
I have just had a conversation with some of my co-workers about phrases people use too often. The one they found irritating is “it is what it is,” which I have always felt meant accept something and shut up about it. (Not something we want to hear when we are complaining about something that is important to us, I am sure.) Other phrases like “six of one, and half dozen of another” is another phrase that some find irritating. I for one do not care for the phrase “it’s all the same to me,” which is used to get someone else to make a decision for the person. If you have a phrase that “makes your blood boil” send me a comment.
