Search Warrant Leads to Arrest of Sedalia Man for Child Porn
On Tuesday July 22 around 9:25 a.m., Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Bureau and the Crime Resolution Unit, along with Patrol Officers, executed a search warrant at 3232 Cunningham Drive as part of an ongoing investigation into the possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
Investigation revealed cloud storage accounts that contained videos which meet the statutory definition of child pornography. During the execution of the search warrant, multiple electronic devices were seized, which are also believed to contain additional illicit material.
Detectives subsequently drafted and obtained additional search warrants for these devices, and the forensic analysis is currently pending.
At the conclusion of the search warrant, one subject was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
Chad M. Altis 19, of Sedalia, now faces a charge of Possession of Child Pornography.
