Citations Issued to Carload of Sedalians for Open Container

On Sunday at 1:49 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 820 South Limit on a vehicle that committed a lane violation.

The vehicle was occupied by five individuals, four of whom were under the age of 21. According to the report, the car smelled like marijuana.

One occupant was found to be in possession of a firearm,

Four citations were issued for minor in possession and five citations were issued for open containers of alcohol.

The firearm was seized and placed into safekeeping storage at the Sedalia Police Department.

25-year-old Alberto Cano was issued a citation for open container.

18-year-old Elizabeth Marugenia Rochin, 19-year-old Scout D. Tackett, 20-year-old Ramiro Alfredo Rodriguez and 20-year-old Anthony Rojas, all from Sedalia, were all issued citations for open container and minor in possession.
