Clinton Woman Injured After Her Car Slides Into A Peterbilt
A Clinton woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday afternoon in Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2008 Pontiac Gran Prix, driven by 29-year-old Cayleigh E. Clouse of Clinton, was on Missouri 13, south of County Road NE 600 (north of Warrensburg) just after 2 p.m., when the car began to skid and crossed the center of the roadway.
The front of a northbound 2008 Peterbilt 389, driven by 30-year-old Zachary M. Knight of Garrison, Iowa, struck the rear passenger side of the Grand Prix.
Clouse, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, suffered serious injuries and was flown by Lifeflight Eagle to University Hospital in Columbia.
The Peterbilt had moderate damage, while the Pontiac was totaled.
A total of four Troopers were on scene.
