Cole Camp Woman Injured in Benton County Crash

A Cole Camp woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Benton County on Thursday.

According to the MSHP, 76-year-old Shelby J. Gray was the driver of an eastbound 2012 Toyota at 1 p.m. on Route AD, one-half mile east of Rehmer Road, when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, traveled down a steep embankment and struck a metal pipe and barbed wire fence.

Gray suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Cole Camp EMS to the Cole Camp Clinic, then air lifted to University Hospital by Lifeflight.

Gray was wearing a safety device, according to the report.

The Toyota had moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
