On Monday morning, Sedalia Police responded to the 200 block of East 2nd Street in reference to a possible disturbance with weapons involved.

It was determined that an intoxicated subject began making threats with a firearm to workers who had arrived to do work on his apartment.

This led to a physical altercation in which injuries were sustained by both the suspect and one of the victims. The firearm was not used in the physical altercation.

Christopher Joseph Hart, 33, of Sedalia, was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center and ultimately the Pettis County Jail.

Hart was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of state charges for Harassment, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, 4th degree Assault, and 3rd degree felony Assault.
