The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 38-year-old Micheal T. Joyner of Warrensburg at 2:09 a.m. Sunday in Morgan County.

He was charged with boating while intoxicated (BWI), and failing to exercise the highest degree of care for a watercraft. Joyner was released for medical treatment.

According to a report, Joyner was the operator of a northbound 2019 Harris 250 Tritoon pontoon boat at the seven-mile marker on the main channel of Lake of the Ozarks at 1:25 a.m. when it ran aground. The boat was totaled.

Joyner suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Lake Regional hospital by ambulance.

There were a total of five Troopers on scene, as well as personnel from Lake Ozark Fire and Rocky Mount Fire.
