A teenager from Edwards was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday in Benton County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 16-year-old William A Shrock was the driver of a westbound 2002 Chevy Silverado on Route H, west of Butterfield Trail at 5:40 p.m. when the driver ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, left the roadway on the opposite side and struck an embankment and overturned, then struck a pole.

Shrock suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Cole Camp Ambulance to a Life Light Eagle, then flown to University Hospital for medical treatment.

The Silverado was totaled and towed.
