Eldon Man Dies in UTV Rollover in Morgan County

An Eldon man was killed in a UTV accident that occurred Saturday in Morgan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2020 Honda Talon 1000X4, driven by 51-year-old Jimmy D. Burrus of Eldon, was on private land near 23545 Seals Road (NE of Gravois Mills) just after 4 p.m., when he attempted to climb a hill and the vehicle overturned multiple times. The Talon struck multiple tree stumps before striking a tree and coming to rest on its driver's side, partially ejecting the driver.

Burrus was transported to Lake Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:03 p.m., by Dr. Oliver. The body was taken to Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home.
