Three Sedalians Injured in Highway 50 Crash
Three Sedalia residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Monday afternoon in Morgan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2024 Ford Maverick was stopped on US Highway 50 to make a left turn on Missouri 135 around 4:45 p.m. Monday, when a westbound 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by 72-year-old Kenneth W. Heyer of Sedalia, failed to stop and struck the rear of the Ford Maverick, driven by 72-year-old Jackie D. Ehlers of Otterville.
Injured were the driver of the Dodge, (Heyer) and two passengers – 68-year-old Betty A. Heyer and 70-year-old Virginia E. Brownfield, all of Sedalia, all with minor injuries. All were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Mid-Mo Ambulance.
The Ford Maverick had extensive damage, while the Dodge Caravan was totaled. Both were towed by Leepers Towing.
