Lincoln Man Injured in Morgan County Crash
A Lincoln man was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday afternoon in Morgan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2003 Ford F-150, driven by 42-year-old Aaron N. Knuppel of Lincoln, was on Missouri 5 near Millifork Lane just after 5 p.m., when the truck traveled off the right side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle skidded, returned to the roadway and traveled off the left side where it struck an embankment and a fence before coming to rest in a field.
Knueppel suffered serious injuries and was transported by Lake West EMS to Lake Regional Hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
The Ford was totaled and towed from the scene.
Knueppel was later arrested by the Patrol at 6:23 p.m. He now faces charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
Knuellpel was taken to the Camden County Jail, where he was booked and released.
