Erratic Driving Leads To DWI Arrest of Sedalia Man
On Saturday night, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop vehicle that was failing to maintain its lane, drifting, weaving, making a wide turn, and going across the center of the roadway.
The stop was initiated at 10th Street and South New York Avenue.
An investigation determined that the driver was impaired by drugs.
Nicholas Neil Nida, 20, of Sedalia, was arrested after a search of the car revealed a THC vape pen and drug paraphernalia.
Nida was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for further testing and for a fit for confinement check.
Nida was then transported to the Pettis County Jail to be released to a sober person.
State charges of Driving While Intoxicated By Drugs, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia were being sought. The officer also requested a charge of Driving Without Financial Responsibility.
