A total of 50 embossed 20-ounce insulated thermos bottles were presented to the Sedalia Police Department Friday afternoon, Nov. 9.

The bottles. which display the SPD logo and "You Matter" as well as the sponsors, Stone Laser Imaging, Bryant Motors, McDonald's and Ozark Coffee Company.

According to Harry Hoffert of Stone Laser Imaging, he wanted to do something for the SPD like what he saw in Kansas City.

The cost was $20 per thermos, and the businesses came up with the cash, plus an extra $350 for the department's Cops For Coats program, helmed by Ofc. Ed Crampton.

All on-duty officers can stop in at Ozark or McDonald's and get a free coffee to keep them warm, Hoffert explained.
